Hi Susan, I want you to know I am so happy you have had the GBS and want to have  Support. Yes, there is a mo. support group meeting in Macon. This is a very new support group! many of us in the group are years post. I am 5and a half yrs post. I had my GBS done in Macon and I had Open RNY at the coliseum hospital. I was 242lbs when I had my surgery. My total wt.loss is 126lbs and my current wt. is 117lbs.I think, I was the oldest patient (58yrs) when I had my surgery done. Wow! What a journey this has been!!!!! If I can help you any in way, feel free to email me at [email protected] . It is so wonderful to have someone who needs help with their questions, to be able to pick up the phone and call for information. I ,did not have this option! My Surgeon, sponsored some support meetings for a while, and finally, they just fizzled out. Many of the other GBS patients have kept in touch, and do on occasion meet for lunch. This is fun because we all share a common interest and are  always willing to give ideas and suggestions. Maybe, I can offer you some food ideas for Newbies. Take care, Love,  Nenna
