Not a total newbie (re-intro here as well)

Hi everyone! My name is Keri and i've actually been a member of this site since it very first started way back when, but I got away from it, and now i'm back and amazed at all the changes it has gone through! I had my surgery back in May 2002 in Dallas, but now live here in Atlanta and am looking for support from people who have had, or are having it here. I was 220 pounds and i'm now 140 (have sadly gained back 10 pounds which I hope to shed off here soon) but I think 5 years after the fact is still pretty good that I haven't gained back a lot of my weight. I did become anemic earlier this summer, but I am back to normal as I got my iron count back up. Other than that, i've had no complaints or issues, no hernias, etc. If anyone on here has any questions for me, feel free to ask. I hope to post before and after pictures soon, but have to figure out how to do that on my Macintosh lol. Hope to get to know some of you soon!! ~Keri

Hi Phyllis! I had Open RNY, the only kind my doctor would do. So even though I have a scar on my tummy, I don't really mind. =) Keri

Welcome back to the board....and for five years out you are doing amazing!  My name as you can see is Kerry as well....I just had DS on 10/30/2007 so hopefully one day I'll be able to say I'm down to a weight that begins with the number 1 as well lol.
