Gina's cardiologist visit today
Out of the blue, my cardiologist's nurse called to ask me if I was still having the symptoms that I had reported on Friday, and when I said yes, she said the doctor thinks it is important for you to come into the office immediately and have an EKG. Well, I went and had the EKG, and the EKG was fine, so I thought everything was ok. The nurse came back and said, you need to go home, rest, don't get stressed, don't overdo, don't overexert, and we will know more next week after you have the chemical stress test.. it will tell us much more about your heart. If you continue to feel bad, and have symptoms, you may need to go on to the ER and have the ER doctors evaluate you. Otherwise, take it easy, and we will do your test next week.
I hope that the test will reveal to the doctor exactly what is going on with my heart without her having to be more invasive, but if not, and she does, then I will deal with it as it comes.
Take care and thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Your echo was abnormal? What are they doing about that? I can only speak from my other's heart attack. She had the Thailum Stress Test 2 months before her heart attack. The test report came back normal! When she had her attack she ended up being rushed into surgery and having 5 bi-passes. The surgeon told her best way to know if there is an issue is to have a heart cath. Please keep us posted!
"failing to plan is planning to fail"
My echo was abnormal. The cardiologist is doing a dubutamine stress test next week. Depending on the outcome of that test, she will probably schedule me to have a heart catherization. I am not sure what her plans are at this point, other than the stress test. I know that I was told to rest and not overdo, overexert or overstress today until after they complete the tests.
Thanks for your support.

Thanks, Phyllis. You know me only too well. Rest is not a part of my being, but I am having to make myself rest and take care of me right now. I have had to say no to friends, relatives, and cancel outings and etc to rest. If I need to talk, I will call you or email you privately.
Take care

Thanks, Jeannie.
I know I need to rest, and get more rest. However, resting is easier said than done. I am doing the best I can .. actually, I don't have any energy to do much else but rest now. I have also lost over 10 pounds in less than 2 weeks.. hmmm.. wonder if this is due to being extremely fatigued.. you can call me anytime.

I am very tired still, occasionally having chest pain and heart palpitations. I am staying home, resting much of the time, and doing what my doctor has ordered. The chemical stress test is tomorrow afternoon.. I am not looking forward to this test because you feel so drained afterwards. As soon as I know the results of the test, I will post to the group.
Thanks Phyllis for asking and showing your concern.
