Its me with more questions?

My Daughter in law and son are leaning toward the Peachtree surgeons. I have heard alot from the gastric bypass patients but she is planning on having lapband. Do they do lapband and if so do they do fills under fluro ( my doctor doesnt unless there is a problem). Do all the doctors in the practice do lapbands or do certain ones do certain surgeries? How long after going to the free seminar did lapbanders get approved. Do they go through the same approval procedures that bypass do? Does his lapband patients stay in the hosp or is it outpatient..mine was outpatient. Thanks for listening to me ramble. and Thanks for the answers from everyone! My husband and I have all our paperwork in and are waiting to hear that they've sent it to the insurance company. We want to do lap band. I can answer a couple of your questions and I'm interested in finding out the answers to the rest. Who does it: We've been told it 's Dr. Rashid that does the lap band. Time: it really all depends on how long it takes you to get all the clearances and paperwork in. We started in August and were able to get appointments pretty quickly, but one professional held us up for over a month waiting for their report. We've been told to call our insurance company everyday after they send the pack to them. It can take anywhere from days to a month or so we've been told to get the insurance clearance. Same as bypass: Don't know because we knew we didn't want to do bypass...so we didn't research that. We had to get cardiac because we're over 40, psych, nutrition, primary care. Hope that helps.
