Abnormal Echocardiogram

The nurse from the cardiologist office called to inform me yesterday afternoon that my echocardiogram wasn't normal.. apparently, the left lateral wall of my heart doesn't pump blood efficiently, and I am at greater risk to have a heart attack. Anyway, the plan is to do a nuclear stress test as soon as possible, and for now, I am scheduled mid November, but will be called in sooner if they have a cancellation. I would appreciate everyone's good thoughts or prayers if you are inclined. Thanks

yes I will keep you in thoughts and prayers. they did the same thing with me a  couple years ago. but still passed me to have wls. so maybe it won't be as bad as it sounds. but we both have a friend in JESUS that can carry the load. so i know its not easy to NOT worry, but just keep up the FAITH.
GOD BLESS  YOU,    WANDA

Hi Gina,

You are definitly  in my thoughts and prayers!! Please keep us informed. I had to have a pacemaker implant in Oct ' 07  so I know how scary it is. Please let me know what they tell you is going on as I am curious if it is the same thing. I had conflicting opinions of the cause whether it is WLS related or genetic.  Shree :)

Hi Shree,   It is scary not knowing. The waiting for the tests and the results is the hardest part. I will be sure to let you know. Why did you have to have a pacemaker implant.. what were your presenting symptoms? I pretty much had a routine echocardiogram to check my mitral valve prolapse.. which I had before wls, to see if it had worsened, and was told that the left lateral wall of the heart wasn't pumping blood efficiently, and I needed to be careful until after my chemical stress tests and we knew the reason for the inefficiency.

Thanks for the prayers.

Take care
