Yahoo Group for Atlanta Area WLS Folks

I searched google! and couldn't find any local groups for Atlantans interested in WLS or who have had it.  So I created one called:   atlantaWLSsupport If you are interested in joining, please check out http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/atlantaWLSsupport/ I am hoping it can be a forum for sharing successes and failures, recipes, exercise plants & more.  OH is a great resource and I check it everyday but, Yahoo allows email distribution to notify people of events, activities and communicate more easily then remembering to read a message forum or read someone's blog/journal. Hi All!

There is a GREAT group in Atlanta called WINGS around Atlanta. You can easily find them in Yahoo Groups. They have been around for years and have a very strong presence.

I post and read a lot there. I had a tremendous amount of support post op from the folks there, and got tons of info from them as well. I suggest you check out Yahoo Groups and look up WINGS and you should find them easily. Let me know if you have trouble and I will make sure you get hooked into them.

Thanks for the information.  Again, when I searched Yahoo Groups for WLS Atlanta nothing came up.  When I searched for Wings Atlanta, a group called: wingsofthewest came up.  Is this the same group?  I looked at the previous week's messages and they are all spam. If that is the correct group, the URL is http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/wingsofthewest/ Could you post the link to the Wings group here?

I think this is the one she was referring to maybe? http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/WingsAroundAtlanta/ I am just one day out from my surgery so I'm looking for Atlanta support groups as well.  My surgeon has a support group, but they meet once a month and don't have a site/forum.
