kinda OT but can you offer me some help please??

Hi my name is Pam and I live in michigan. my self & my husband BOTH had WLS.  ok here's my question for all of you.  we are planning a trip to GA ( Bremen area). what are some reputable hotels/motels in the area  that MIGHT meet a couple things #1. MUST speak and understand ENGLISH.. #2. possibly rent by the WEEK  ( we are taking my inlaws and he runs on dialysis so we need to stay for 3 runs )  #3. do you know some we should AVOID at all costs.     if you don't want to post your ideas please feel free to email me at [email protected]       I sure hope you all have a great day..     Hugs from michigan,          Pam

Hi Pam,  I am sorry I am not familiar with that area but I am from MI (Wayne County) and wanted to welcome you to my new state and wish you a safe trip.

it's really been hard to make reservations and such.. I didn't realize PARTS of George don't speak ENGLISH.. shame on me right??  LOL    Hopefully I get it all figured out..  here is a list of towns we would like to stay in..    Carrollton.. we HEARD they speak mostly spanish.. Actually, we Carrolltonians speak Southerneis....LOLOLOL!  The Holiday Inn Express here in Carrollton is very convenient to the area around Tanner Medical, if that's where your FIL is going to be doing his dialysis.  We've put up several folks there that came in on business and they were very pleased with the accommodations.   I would NOT recommend Tallapoosa (way too small) or Villa Rica (way too Villa Rica... I can talk about Villa Rica this way because I was born there!).  Dallas and Cedartown are fair sized, but I'm not familiar with their medical facilities.  What is your criteria?  Close to I-20?  Close to a certain medical facility?  Close to a certain town?

Becky ..  thanks so much for your help. sorry about you Sotherners.. we were told Carrollton is mostly Spanish speaking  LOL   I called a few places that I found online but VERY FEW charge by the week and they want 100.00 PER NIGHT!!! theese are the places I called:  Super 8 quoted me 520.00 for the week..  Quality Inn  700./ week James Inn 950.00 / week  Holiday Inn Express 85/ night  Hampton  Inn.. number disconnected..     any ideas??  thanks agin for all the help..      Pam

There's a small, family run place called the Summerville Inn in Buchanan.... maybe 7 - 8 miles from Carrollton. I’ve "heard" that it's clean and safe, but I don’t know anything from personal experience. It does have a restaurant attached, has kitchenettes, and offers weekly rates. If you want to give it a shot, their number is 770/646-5273. The phone number to the City of Buchanan’s Police dept is 770/646-5246 if you want to get their spin on the place.
