Wanted: Support Group In West Georga

I live in Whitesburg, Ga and am looking for a support group in Carrollton, Douglasville or Newnan.

 

Hi, Tammy.  I live in Whitesburg, too!  Maybe we can start a support group at the round-a-bout!  LOL!!!  Seriously, there used to be a support group meeting once a month at Tanner Medical, but I haven't heard anything regarding that in years.  Let me make a few calls and see what's going on. Becky

Hi Becky, Yeah we could dodge cars at the round-a-bout or maybe we could get a big meeting in the library when its complete. We could get maybe 3 or 4 in the building. No seriously, we could use the Rec center to get a group started.  Tammy

Hey Becky and Tammy,  Please let me know if you find out anything about Tanner doing one. I live in Douglasville and have been looking for one closer to me for 9 months now. Still going downtown for them when I can. Laura

Hi  Laura, If Tanner doesn't have anything, would you be interested in meeting in Whitesburg, its not to far from the Hwy 5 end of D'ville.  Tammy

Okay, I found out.  There is a support group meeting the 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm at the Tanner Education Room (#105).  It is lead by a lady named Teresa Miller.  Her phone number is 770/854-8070.  She said the ed room is across the street from Tanner Medical on Henry Burson Drive.  From what she said, it's a building we call Dixie Street Medical Center, a three story bright building. Welcome to you all!  I'm in Carrollton---right near the college!  I am 28 months out----have gone from 278 to 130.....and have just recently had a baby!  The meetings at Tanner are very helpful.  Teresa and all the people used to take turns leading it.  I haven't been in a LONG time---like 2 years---but have talked about going back if ever the timing works out with my kids and hubby.  Feel free to email me or something!  Take care!
