Question Re: Cost of Surgeries

So I am doing my research and finding out about the different types of surgery and after-care and I am wondering what the approximate cost differences are between the various procedures. Not that it will necessarily influence what I do...that will be based on what the doctor and I think is best for me and my body. (I am just curious because I will be paying "out of pocket" for the entire thing with part of my inheritance from my grandfather and he has asked me how much of it I will need.)

I went to Mexico and had a lap band and it was $8,000 ..now i can have free fills with them but Fill center USA i can get fills for 155.00 each and that is cheaper than a plan ticket to mexico ...granted there has been a time or two i wish i would have went down there but waht can you do ..... My surgeon is Dr. Richards in Gainesville. He works with ObesitySolutions.  They charge $14,500 for the Lap-band and $26,??? for the RNY (can't remember the exact amount). Good luck! Meredith
