Any Peachstater's Out there?? I Need your help, please !!

I am just starting out here and have a couple of questions with the approval process.....I went to the meeting today at the Atlanta Med. Center held by Dr. Duncan's office...I know I have to get all my clearances (sp) and I was just wondering of ya'll out there that have peachstate also....which doctors did you use???? And do you have any advice on how to speed up the process??? Any advice would be wonderful....thanx. = )

Welcome.   I am on the phone with a peachstate expert.  LOL.  Her name is Nicole and she says as soon as she gets home she will send you all her doctors, etc.  I just finished helping her through this process and my surgery was in March of this year.  Hers is this Wednesday.  Any more questions, just feel free to ask.  You are in the right place.  Good luck.

I have Peachstate and I used Emory Bariatric in Atlanta Crawford Long Hospital.  My doctor is Scott Davis.  I had my seminar in Oct.  I had my first appointment in Nov and of course it was right before Thankgiving when mine was summited to Peachstate but I was approved right away like that Tuesday after Thanksgiving I then started all the testing and stuff and finished it all by the end of December.  I was in the doctors for my final appointment at the end of January and surgery Valentines Day.  I had no problems with Peachstate at all except for a lot of the medications so make sure they are on the approved list and if not they summit a form for approval but then still they may not approve it.  My B12 they will not pay for but it was only 6 dollars.  I wish you the best of luck in your journey. I used Dr Duncans office.  His office is wonderful. First you need a PCP *****fers you. *  I used Dr Corley.  She refered me to the cardiologyt and Pulmologyst.  Both of her referals are covered by Peachstate.  Dr Corley: 770-907-8400 *  Nutritionalist:  i used dekalb medical center.  Her name is Holly Hobson.  She was nice and the insurance covered it.  I'd rather pay the $100.00 for Atlanta Medical as they are more knowledgeable.  Her number is: 404-501-5015  *  Psych; Manna Treatment  Center  They were very nice.  I liked them.  Dr Burdette was very quick.  They got me in and the insurance covered it. Their number is: 770-495-9775 Please be aware that you do need to have labs done, request those with Dr Corley ASAP  tell her to include the Hpylori You will also need to attend a support group meeting for Atlanta Medical.  They will give you a letter showing that you attended.
