New support group in Macon.. First meeting , Sept 10
Hello everyone,
I have completed the training course to become an OH certified support group leader. I have planned to have our first meeting on Sept 10, 2007 at 7:30 pm until 9 pm. This will be a greet, meet and organizational meeting. I will be giving out as well as receiving information from you guys as to what you want, need and expect from a support group.
Also, I would like to encourage all surgery types, RNY, Lap band, fobi pouch, DS, VBG, Gastric sleeve, etc.. to feel welcome. Also, if you are in the pre op stages, even if you don't have a surgery date, but are just beginning your journey.. please feel welcome. Also, bring your mates, sisters, brothers, or whomever is going to be in your support system before and after surgery.
I welcome all surgery types, pre ops, post ops, and even those who just need support because they want to lose weight but aren't sure about something as drastic as surgery.. we are here to support you..
Please email me for more info .. an update will come out next week with a meeting place.. I am currently in negotiations with a couple of the area hospitals and have some back up plans as well..

Thanks.. that means a lot to me. I am still working out the details of a meeting place. Renee and I plan to be at your meeting on Tuesday night.. can't wait to see everyone again, and I am sure she will have some good news as she sees the surgeon on Monday.. She is doing great.
