Good afternoon everyone!  Im 3 years plus out.  Was weighing 310 and now I'm at 170 (my goal is 150).   5' 7".  I recently found out that Im anemic and now I have low blood sugar.  I have gotten way off of my routine.. I drink and eat at the same time.. Im very concerned that I can eat way more than I should be able to.  I have become the "Cookie Monster"  I eat junk all of the time.. I swear all I do is think about food.. I dont even know if Im suppose to take them, but recently I got some diet pills and they have helped me alot.. I dont even think about food all day.. I have started gaining weight and Im terriffied that I will just throw my gift away.  Anyone have any suggestions for me to get back in the swing of things.. I have got to get my focus back!

Does your Dr or hospital have a support group??? If so, you definitely need to get to one soon...I know with being this far out (I am two years out), we get complacent in what we eat, drink, and snack on....  You are not alone in this dilemna. Norma

Hello! My name is Leann and I am coming up on 2 yrs out.  I moved here from colorado in Jan and live in Summergrove.  I too have started gainng weight.  I think its mostly becuase we eat out all the time and not as much exercise.  I would love to meet up with you somewhere and chat or just swap emails back and forth as I to miss my support grp and can tell you that it was easier to stay on track with others in the same situation.  Please feel free to email me

Dixiebutterfly, I am just at 2 years post op, and I find myself going towards the junk, and thinking about the junk, and also eating the junk.(mainly at that time of the month)  I find, for me, that when I start eating everything that isn't nailed down, I look back at photos where I was pre op, that seems to help me remember where I have been, and where I want to go.  This is a very difficult thing that we have done to ourselves. I have to remind myself that having WLS was just a tool, and not the quick fix.  They may have worked on my stomach, but I still have to work on my head.  As far as the pills go, ask your doctor ( although they will probably tell you not to take them.)  When all else fails, start at the very beginning.  Remember that your stomach is an organ, and when you over fill it, it will strech, and if you under-fill it, it will shirnk.  Good luck!!!  I think just about everyone who has had WLS is terrified of gainning it back.
