Rockdale Medical Center Support Group Meeting

Hey Georgia Gang!! Just a reminder that the support group meeting at Rockdale Medical Center will be this Wednesday, August 1st at 6:00pm in Classroom 2A/B in the new wing of the hospital. This meeting is open to anyone and everyone - pre-op, post-op, family/friend supporter, etc.  We welcome everyone!!!   Hope to see you there!!!   

Hello Kristi,  I will do my best to make it Wednesday night. But I have a meeting with a group on Tuesday with Dr. Gorjala. This is the Doctor that is doing the LAP-BAND at Henry Medical Center. I have started working with him and talking to his group. So I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it. I also not sure if you know it or not but I have been seeing someone that has also made my life a little busy'er. We have been together since June 12,2007, and I'm very happy. Kristi,  I will probably not be at meeting this week.  Marvin goes into the hospital in the morning at Emory.  Nothing serious, we think.  He has had an irregular heart beat for years.  The docs have tried nurmerous meds over the years.  It has gotten worse, and he is being put on Tikosyn.  This medication requires that you stay in the hospital for three days to make sure you do not any any ill effects from it, so...  Hope all is well with you. Pat,  thanks for the kind words and prayers.  I came home from the hospital last night.  I talked to him on the phone just now.  All went well last night, but his heart is still irregular.  This is not a life threatening problem.  He has had it for years.  It just makes him feel real bad when it happens.  His heart beats irregularly about half the time, so he feels bad about half the time.  The doctors are trying to regulate it with Tikosyn.  It is a highly controlled drug.  If you get to Conyers, tell everybody that we are okay and will see them next month. Glad you are home and I pray everything will settle down soon for you. Patricia
