I am 4wks post op I have tried scallops, tuna, baked mashed potato, fruit cups, chicken leg, chili, hamberger, cheese, peanut butter. Eat approximately 6 times but it is very small amounts.  I drink at least 4 to 6 oz of water in between meals.

Sounds like you’re eating to much carbs, water melon is ok but not to much is a high on carbs, rice crakers are no no!! just  only  4 weeks out.   To not be hungry increase your protein  and  water sips all day either on protein or water. Good  luck!! Kay.

Hi sherry, I agree with Kay.  I think you are eating too many carbs.  At this stage you should be eating mainly protein with a touch of veggie / fruits.  The only carbs you should be getting would be the carb veggies like potatoes.  And as for the watermelon, My NUT has commented that it really isn't good for you.  It takes up space and doesn't give you much of anything in return.  My best suggestion would be for you to call you NUT and ask her.  They know you better than we do.  Take care and good luck.

Sherry, remember the notebook they gave us at pre op? It has sample menues for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. That should give you a guideline to follow. Protein shakes really fill me up for a long period. Did you have bypass or lap band? Nancy
