Anyone from NW Ga area?

Hi, I have never posted on the Georgia board before I don't think. I had lapband surgery Sept 11,06. My husband had it 2 weeks before I did. Our marriage did not survive the changes. He decided since he had lost 100 lbs the grass would be greener. My surgeon told me we were his 4th marriage fatality. I have also lost over 100 lbs, and have 35-40 more to go. My ex has about another 100 to go, and really developed an attitude that he thinks he is the "STUFF" now....way to good to be with the same old wife he's had for 17 years. Any way, I was   hoping there were some other bandsters in this area that I could get to know. I don't really have any family, and I need some friends to talk to and hang out with.  Anybody available? GW

Thanks Pat. When I wrote that  I really didn't mean just bandsters, I would love to be friends with any weight loss surgery person. I just don't think too clearly these days sometimes. I would just love to find some within driving distance to eat out with sometimes and have some friends that knows what this is like....the weight loss, I mean. I wouldn't wish the husband thing on anybody. Thanks for the message. Glenda

have you thought of going to the Atlanta convention? It would be a good get away from your troubles and meet lots of new people. And Welcome to the boards. PhyllisJ.

Actually, I did think about it when I first saw it posted. I will check into that. Thanks for the suggestion. Glenda
