SEVERAL OF MY FRIENDS HAVE GONE THROUGH THE GASTRIC BYPASS IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS AND ALMOST ALL OF THEM COMPLAIN OF OUTRAGEOUS GAS PAIN, EVEN MORE THAN ANY SURGICAL PAIN. I WANT TO KNOW IF ANY OF YOU OUT THERE HAVE LEARNED EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER HOW TO ALLEVIATE THAT GAS PAIN VIA MEDICINE AND BESIDES THE STANDARD WALKING. IF IT IS SAFE AND THE GAS PAIN IS UNNECESSARY, I'D RATHER NOT GO THROUGH IT. IN ADDITION, I CAN'T WALK, SO I'M FEARING MY GAS MIGHT BE EVEN WORSE. CAN'T THEY GIVE YOU SOME IV GAS RELIEVER? ALSO, HOW CAN I GET MY HAND ON ONE OF THOSE CUTE LITTLE OBESITY BEAR DOLLS. I DIDN'T SEE IT IN THE STORE AND I REALLY WANT ONE FOR MY SURGERY ON JULY 9TH. P.S. PEACE OUT TO CAM, ON HER SUCCESSFUL FRIDAY, JUNE 22ND SURGERY AND CAROLYN ON HER SUCCESFUL WEDNESDAY JUNE 20TH SURGERY. I AM ALSO SO GRATEFUL TO HAVE MET ERNIE, JEANNIE, DIANNE, BOBBY, JESSICA AND A HOST OF OTHER WONDERFUL NEW FRIENDS THAT I MAY NOT REMEMBER THE NAMES OF AT THE ATLANTA MEDICAL CENTER WELLNESS SUPPORT GROUP. I INVITE ALL IN THE ATLANTA AREA TO SHOW UP AND TRY US OUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT! LOVE AND HUGZZZZZZZ TO ALL! OH, BY THE WAY, MY MOTHER WANTS TO BE AN HONORARY MEMBER-LOL! HUGE ACCOLADES TO JEANNIE FOR AGREEING TO BE MY "ANGEL!" I MUST SAY THAT I HAVE MET SOME OF THE MOST POSITIVE AND PHENOMENAL WOMEN I HAVE COME ACROSS IN A LONG WHILE AT MY SUPPORT GROUPS...THEY ARE FUNNY AS HELL TO BOOT!

You seem to be posting just fine to me.
In regards to the gas pain. I did not have much of any paiin at all, gas or otherwise. But, seeing as you are in the wheelchair and don't have the exercise means to relieve your gas, I would suggest you speak with Dr Rashid before the surgery to ask for some help at least on orders so the nurses can give you some if needed.
As for your Mom. It was a pleasure to meet her at the last meeting. You know she can sign up on this site as a friend or family member. My sister is a member so she can check up on me and my friends and ask any questions she may have. If your Mom does sign up be sure to have her give us a shout out so we can all welcome her.
I have you and the "other" Renee on my calendar on the 9th for your surgery. I have to babysit that day but plan to come see you in the evening. Pleas feel free to keep in touch and let me know how you are doing and any last minute questions you may have.
