Hi Peaches!
Okay, I've been "lurking" and reading everyone's comments but not posting much. I need to learn how to reach out to others. I am a little over 2 weeks post-op (lap RNY) and doing great physically. I have had virtually NO problems! This has been a lot easier than I expected so far. I'm getting bored (live alone). I will be returning to work next week and getting back into the routine. I enjoyed some tuna salad and wheat melba toast yesterday. I've also had some boiled chicken. I'm getting between 60-80 gms. of protein a day (including supplemental shakes) and trying to get enough fluids. Went to doctor on Thursday for 2 weeks Post-Op and have lost 30 pounds (since 2 weeks before WLS)! So I think I'm off to a very good start. I worry a little bit because I can eat without getting sick or anything. I am a true food addict and pray that I can use this little pouch as the tool it is supposed to be. I have a long way to go. Does anyone know if there is a support group on the West side of Atlanta? Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Hey Marsha,
It is good to hear you are doing so well. Congradulations on your first 30 pounds. Did you remember to measure yourself before surgery? If you didn't do it now. It will help a lot when the scales slow down or stop moving for a little bit.
I am really jealous of you right now. I had the same surgeon and I was on a liquid diet for 30 days. And you are only two weeks!!
I have only been allowed crackers and tuna in the last 3 weeks. Although I could have tuna about 5 weeks ago.
I can't help with the west side support group but you do know that Duncan's support group meets on the 14 of this month (thursday) at 6 pm and on the 16 (saturday) at 9 am.? I will be at one of these, just not sure which one yet. Maybe we could meet at one of them.
Well, I am glad you are having an easy time with things. Just be careful with your choices.

Nicole,
You are quite right about the Tuesday group meeting. I didn't put it on there because I thought (I was wrong) that it was the first tuesday of the montha and that had passed for this month.
You may also want to put your doctors name on your profile. It may help others with their questions and you can always change it if you deside to change doctors.
Would you please ask Candy to give me a call when she can. I forgot to write down her number last time she called me. I don't need anything, just wanted to touch base with her. Thank you again for all the help you are giving her.
Hugs....
