Guess What!!

 I am so excited..I got a date...My surgery date is 6/25/07 @ 7:30 am at Emory Johns Creek..Any advice on what I can do to prepare...

Wow Asia, You have me excited for you!  I assume your doctor/nut gave you a list of stuff you can have for your first few weeks, right?  Well get all that stuff.  For the SF pudding it is best to buy the instant package mix and make your own.  To do that you just mix one tablespoon of powder to 3 oz of skim milk.  You will want to have smaller plates/bowls, some measuring stuff (cups, medicine cups, spoons, and a scale),  and some people like to use baby forks (or shrimp forks) and baby spoons.  It helps with smaller bites.  You will want to start practicing chew chew chew and not drinking liquids with meals.  You will probably also want to increase your protein intake and vitamis (helps with healing) and your water intake as well.   Good luck and I am sure we will talk more closer to your big DATE.

I am SO HAPPY for you!!! When I see anyone who will be getting their lives back I jump for joy...It is a great day for you dear. When I got my date, I screamed so loud folks probly thought I had won the lottery, and to me that is exactly what had happened to me. I am happy for you. I pray that the lord will bless you and keep you and will guide the surgeons hands. I pray that you will have no complications and will have no problems adjusting to this new life you have been given. God Bless You.......
