OT...family prayer update
Wanted to give everyone news about my earlier request...prayers are being answered...
Regarding me....first thing this morning, I called my rectal Dr regarding the thrombosed hemorrhoid, and got an appt for 3:30pm today. I did go see my PS today, as he said that the open sites from last week were healing nicely, but I have developed a new one...the stitch line right above my butt. Hopefully it will start healing up soon with the meds that I am using on it. After that appt, I was off to see my rectal Dr...I told him what I thought my problem was, and sure enough I was right. I knew that it was going to be a major pain to remove it, but nothing else was going to give me the type of relief that I needed. He was able to remove it right then and there. Driving home was very difficult, but I made it...and took one of my Lortabs after I ate my dinner, so at least the pain is not as intense as it once was. Hopefully by morning I will be feeling like a 'new' woman....YEA !!!
Regarding my Mom, the Senior Mental Health ward of the hospital has finished evaluating her, and she will be released to come home tomorrow afternoon...provided that we obtain a professional caregiver for a minimum of 4 hours a day during the week. Dad is being resistant to the idea, but my sister has told him 'that it is either that or she will have to go to a nursing home facility...'. That statement did change his attitude towards all of this, and my sister has someone already lined up. Also, home health care is going to be sending someone to assist in basic rehab of getting my Mom to being more mobile. (Before auto accident, Mom was completely mobile...now she has to use a walker.) Before all of this happened, my sister had already put their names on a waiting list for assisted living facility in the town where my sister and her family lives.
So things are looking up on all fronts, and that your prayers have been greatly appreciated...
Love each and every one of you...
