WLS at 70+ yrs old? Surgeon?

Howdy all, I'm popping in here from the Alabama board where I usually hang out, as I live here. But I grew up in GA and my family is all still in GA. I just got back from spending the weekend over there, in fact. I miss it! The reason for my post, my mother is 73, and for the first time is considering WLS. She has yo-yo dieted her whole life, and is getting ready to start yet another diet (Nutri-System). She asked me about her age & WLS. I know some surgeons will operate on folks her age - does anybody here know of anybody? She meets all the criteria and has good insurance, but also has had several abdominal surgeries previously which I imagine might make her higher risk? I don't know. If anybody here knows of a surgeon who would consider a 73 yr old patient, please do tell! She at least wants to look into it. Thanks! Kathy
