My son and New Orleans

My son, Robbie, who is 14, is going on his very first mission trip the last week in June with his youth group. They are going to New Orleans to help with the rebuild and also have a VBS for the children there and spread the word. He has to raise the money himself for the trip and I am trying to help him. I am having a yard sale next Saturday to help with that so I thought that I would ask my online friends since you are too far away to support him at the sale if you could or wanted to help by sending a dollar or two to go toward his trip. I know this is unusual but we were supposed to ask family etc and most of you know that I really don't have any family since I lost both of my parents. I can send you a link to the information on the trip if you would like. He is so excited about going down there and helping out the people of New Orleans and most of all being able to share his love of the Lord. The Bible says, "Some will go and do and others will help send them to do the work" well, I will help send him and can you tell me what the cost of his trip will be and the address of the church, please? Wow Shree - I'm glad to see Crece is helping you!  I have just recently moved and that expens is killing me - but I'll come through stronger in the end!  I will keep him in my prayers through his journey.  It's so wonderful to see kids his age taking on the life of out Lord and saviour!  I know you're proud of him! How are YOU doing?  Is your heart getting better?  Are you still having trouble with solid foods?  I miss seeing the "regulars" around the board! God Bless!

Hey DeeDee!! Yes, Crece is my angel. Thank you for keeping him and his youth group in your prayers. They will be leaving on June 23rd. I am truly blessed..I have two wonderful children who have great friends and awesome leaders. I am EXTREMELY proud of both of my kids. I am hanging in there myself...I had my 2 year surgi-versary on April 27th. I have lost 198 pounds total and am feeling ok these days. I still can't eat most solids but I did have a small stricture fixed and it has helped some. I ate my first egg last week in over 2 years...it was so good. I miss seeing everyone too...I will be in the area on June 23rd after dropping my daughter off for the week at my sisters and thought about getting a room and trying to arrange something on that night...anyone interested? I would love to hang out somewhere and maybe go dancing afterward. Let me know and I will hammer out the details or someone plan it for that nigth and count me in *lol*. I miss everyone SO much and honestly could really use a night of fun!!!!  How are YOU? You LOOK fabulous!!  Love ya, Shree
