Southside Weight Loss Support Group

Thank you to everyone who came to the SouthSide Weight Loss support group last night at Henry Medical Center.  Thank you to Jeannie for becoming an official OH Leader!  This is a great accomplishment for her and it will help our group grow.   Jeannie and I are working together to make this group as good as it can be.  I think you will see some welcome changes.  I am working on getting us some more guest speakers.  I would like someone from Surgery South (the office doing the Lap-Band procedure at HMC) to come speak to us.  Jeannie and I are both working on getting in touch with them.  Please note, however, that we are not affiliated with Surgery South's office.  We don't have a representative from their office at our meetings.  They are giving out flyers to let their prospective patients know about our group, which is GREAT! Anyway, with the knowledge Jeannie is obtaining from OH and us working together to facilitate the group in a way that promotes positivity, support and well-being, I think this will become one of the best support groups around! So, if you are on the SouthSide of Atlanta and want to join us, come on down! 

Hello Stephanie, I want to let you know that my telephone conference went very well. I was even told that I can use some of my meteral for hand outs as well. I really have a lot of information in it that would be helpful to all of our members.  I will try and go by and talk with them at the surgeons offica again or even call and see when they are holding there next seminar and possible attend it. I will let you know what I find out. Also some of the information that you gave me on people that has come to our meeting before I'm going to e-mail them the hand out about our next meeting. Maybe they might even come back.  I really think that with you and I tag teaming on this we will make it a strong and postive group.  Jeannie

Hello Ms Keke,  I want you to know that I really enjoyed having you and your husband at the meeting. I hope that you find that we are here to help you along your way to a much better and healther life. Just remember to follow what your doctor tells you and then after a few months you can start tryong other things. I've been really happy with all that I have done since my surgery July 2006. So if you have any other questions please feel free to ask myself or Stephaine or anyone else from our group. Hug's
