Just got approved!!!
I was just approved yesterday from my insurance co. I can't believe I got approved!!! Now here comes the scary part. I am trying to decide if I should really have this done. I'm a single mom of two girls and have alot of responsibility on me. I'm a strong person but am scared to death to go under the knife.
I'm using Dr. Dan Procter w/ Obesity Solutions in Gainesville. Has anyone had any experiences with Dr. Procter or Obesity Solutions? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats on your approval! I have to say that while I do agree with all that the other poster has said I have to also say that you know the risks involved with this surgery. Only you can make the decision if it is a risk you are willing to take at this time in your life. For me being SMO+ the risk of death was even higher. I had a heart cath done on Jan 19th that showed my heart was great and there was no reason from a cardiac standpoint not to go ahead with the surgery. 3 weeks later I went into cardiac arrest on the OR table. The fact that I am here today to tell this story is proof that our GOD is a mighty God and he saw fit for me to survive and come home to my family. Now remember that I am the exception and not the rule! Most people come through their surgeries with flying colors and no complications at all. As I said before you alone can weigh the risk and decide what is right for you. For me if I hadn't had the surgery my life expectancy would have been measurable in months instead of years. So it was a nobrainer for me to go ahead with the surgery. Thank God and Dr. Overcash that I am alive today and doing things again that I haven't been able to do in a very long time including playing with my sweet grandchildren.
Hang in there, think it over and if you are a praying person pray about it and seek His guidance.
