need to know?????

I hd my WLS in 2004....a few weeks after I had stomach pain and found out that my old stomach was not working, so they put in a drain tube for a month and all was fine.   Well in Feb 2007 I started having stomach pain again, they have done test on everything but my old stomach.  I have been trying to tell them that it has to be my old stomach has stop working.  It is now May 2007 and I am still in pain....my question is  "Can we do with out our old stomach?"  I go back to the Dr on 5/30 and I want him to remove my old stomach and stop this pain. Please let me hear from you all. Martha

I am sorry you are having problems, I had my wls in 2004  and about a year and a half later, I had stomach pain and was bent over in pain, I was hurting for weeks and the pain increased. I went to Dekalb medical center where my doctor, doctor steinberg found the my intestests twisted up in a knot and they had to repair it, now I am doing well and my stomach pain has ended. I hope that they can find your problem and end your pain.  Good Luck.
