NEW KID ON THE BLOCK

Hey!! Just wanted to introduce myself. 5ft 6in 252lbs. Tonya 28/f/b seriously considering WLS!! Any advise, comments, or whatever is greatly appreciated.

The first thing I am going to do is welcome you Tonya. Let's see. I am 48/f/w. I am 4'11.5" and I started out 6 weeks ago at 280 pounds. I am now around 220. My first suggestion to you is to come to one or more support group meetings. There are several around. I attend one on the 2nd thursday @ 6 @ Atlanta Medical Center(that's tomorrow), one on the 4th tuesday of the month @ 6:30 at Henry Medical Center, and one on the 1st wednesday (I think) @ 6 @ Rockdale Medical Center. Would love to see you at one of them. They are a wealth of info. and friends. If you want more info....just ask. Hope to see you around more... Take care, Pat

Welcome Tonya! I'm the OH leader at the support group at Henry Medical Center. We meet on the 4 Tuesday of each month and I would love for you to come and ask all the QUESTIONS that you might have. I'm 9 months out from my surgery and I have lost 165 but I started out at 358. My health has really improved a lot and I'm a lot happier.
