Does anyone know the symptoms of a band slip? My surgery was 11/3/05. I haven't had any complications. No recent fills, but I have not been a "good girl". Not chewing well, eating seafood/rice combos. Lots of vomiting for a few consecutive days. Now I'm getting nervous. I've been good the last two days, no vomiting, slight heartburn. But I don't know if I'm just getting paranoid.

Shelly, You need to contact your surgeon regarding this. They are the ones that will really know the answer to your question. Isn't that the reason you paid them for your surgery...they are the experts, not us. Norma

when you're "self pay", you only go to the surgeon as a last resort

Shelly, Sorry if I 'ruffled' your feathers, but I was 'self pay' and I never have to pay another dime to my surgeon, even if he has to do emergency surgery. I had to have emergency surgery for a partially blocked bowel obstruction on April 12, 2006, which turned out to be scar tissue. This was the worst time for something like this to happen to me...as I am a CPA in a CPA firm, but I was back at work on April 15. I do love my gastric bypass surgeon for the life that he gave back to me. I will be two years post-op on June 20. Norma
