Does anyone have Dr. Smith??

I sent in a patient registration form and have been trying to call to see about it and I can never get a hold of anybody at the office. I have left 2 messages! Has anyone else had this problem?? I have finally made this decision after 2 years and I want to get thing started. I wonder if I should pick another surgeon??

Try contacting them by email. I am enclosing Denise and Julia email address I had Dr. Smith. He is an excellent surgeon. However, you have to stay on his staff. Once you get the ball rolling, they aren't as bad. You might even have to get a little snipet with them but again once you are in their system they move and respond a little faster. [email protected] [email protected] Also, Dr. Smith require you to attend 2 support meeting before surgery. The good thing is that he will allow posting and responding on this site as support meeting. Make sure to post some questions and respond to some question and bookmark them so you can copy them and use them as a support meeting. I hope this helps and good luck on your journey

Thanks for your advice. Nell finally called me back yesterday and told me that Dr. Smith thought I was a perfect canidate for the surgery. They will be contacting my insurance and sending me a packet. I can't wait! I have attended a support meeting on the 20th of March and I will take your advice and use this as a second meeting. But I do plan on still going to the support meeting. I think it will help me with all the questions I have! Thanks Laura

I have been rather unsuccessful also in getting them to return phone calls. I have been accepted as a patient and have received the packet and reviewed the video. I have UHC insurance and have not been able to get a straight answer on what will be required by them. Denise has not returned any calls (more than a month of leaving messages). I am ready to start all over with another doctor.

They still have not sent my insurance company what they needed. They never return phone calls. And i catch them in a lie more than once. I finally changed doctor and see him for the first time may 4th. Dr. John Daly in Atlanta. I have heard really good things about him and his office staff has been extremely helpful. They will tell you ahead of time what is needed. They will fax yo a paper with the exact things needed.
