Dr Macik

I am looking into wls and was wondering if any of you have heard or even perhaps used Dr Macik. Any info and advice you can give is welcomed. I am not sure if I am interested in lap band or or RNY. So what made you choose one over the other. Please Advise!!

I did not use Macik, but I have read on this board that several people have used and liked him. You might trying going to the wls graduates board and asking you questions there.

Dr.macik is my doctor.He is great! My suggestion for you would be to meet with him and discuss both surgeries to see what would be best for your needs.He is kind of quiet but he is a wonderful surgeon....

Rebecca I am in the process of having the Lap Rny done... I am useing Dr.Macik he has been wonderful so far him and his staff.. I was suppose to have it done on March 9th but I havent lost enought weight so he felt like it would be safer on me to wait and try to lose like 20lbs. He has been so wonderful I know a person who he done his surgery and he is doing great.. I dont feel you will make the wrong decision in seeing Dr.Macik. What part of Ga are you from???? Hi. Dr. Macik did my Gallbladder surgery 4 years ago and then did my Gastric Bypass 2 years ago. I think he is a wonderful surgeon. My brother had to have his appendix out a few weeks ago and I call Dr. Macik and he was so kind and went right over to the hospital and did the surgery. I highly recommend him. Best of luck!
