It's my 4th WLS Anniversary!!

Showed up at Dr. Champion's Marietta office for my annual check-in and weighed in 3 lbs. heavier than last year - GASP - NOT! I was still comfy in my size 8 jeans and size Small Gap Go-Red shirt so I'm not gonna get bent outa shape about that. I got a new trainer in Oct. at my nearby LA Fitness and he's soooooo great, I went from 3 :30 sessions a week to 2 :60 sessions weekly! His name is MICHAEL WADE and he shuttles between "Roswell East" and Roswell West" locations. He's 41, built like a body builder, is certified by all the tough orgs and is a great combo of thorough, patient, with a lazer-like concentration on his student, great sense of humor, can mix Pilates with free weights and yoga.... I'm still a member of CURVES though I'm not sure why. The circuit's a great concept but their hours are so abbreviated and they close for pre- and post-holidays! Not just the holiday itself! If a CURVES-like program opened with better hours, I'd switch in a heartbeat. I'm leading my FIRST weekend workshop in less than a month and it's in TUCSON - gotta be warmer and sunnier than here in the East... I'm calling it, "BEFRIENDING YOUR FUTURE SELF" 'cause it's all about imagining the life you'd be living if the constant struggle with yo-yo dieting and food cravings, were a thing of the past. If you didn't have food, fat, fads and physicality issues to deal with, what would you be free to enjoy? Do? Earn money doing? How would you look? What kind of social life would you have? What kinds of recreational/entertainment/vacation activities...? Then, we ask ourselves - in that life AFTER dieting, etc., what shape would my body have to be in to make it possible for me to enjoy that lifestyle? Healthwise? Strength & agility? We're going to have lots of art-therapy -type activities plus journaling, meditating, moving, dialoguing, etc. I'm totally psyched and the response has been great. Most of my coaching clients in AZ are RN's, too! Hey Lauralyn, Good to see you post! Congrats on 4 successful years with WLS. I would love to see another OH conference come to Atlanta! Don't know what they are waiting for. I felt like the last one was a success. I hope 2007 will find us all meeting up again! Hugs, Tonya
