I need someone who has been there to encourage/talk I don't know whatever, to me. I have been stuck on 230 for about 3 to 4 weeks now. I feel like I am not doing this right. My surgery was October 3, I am 4 months out now, I have lost 57 pounds. I know that is good, but with this plateau, I feel that same ole reel going off in my head.."you are the small percentage of persons that will always be fat", you are never going to loose anymore weight. etc....When I think like that, I loose all hope. I so want to get down to at least 140 max--I have been out of my vitamins for about two weeks and have ordered more. They should be here in the next few days. I have pretty much just eat like a normal person, only eating 1/3 to 1/2 of what I order (ie Roast beef sand, I will eat 1/2, eat a few baked chips and a pickle.) I have broken down and drank Diet cokes..is this really going to keep me from loosing the weight? I am so confused, I dont feel like my doctor's office has done anything for post op..any suggestions? I have work out equipment, but my son moved back in and has taken over the gym room, so it is crammed in my living room at the moment. I cannot eat chicken which I love now, and there are a lot of things I cannot tolerate. Protein drinks being one of them. I eat a lot of soup..any suggestions?

Hi Kim, I'm six months out and your eating a lot different than I do. Some of the things that you are eating I can not even try to eat. The Roast Beef for one I can not chew it enough to even get it down. has far as chips I only have 3 baked chips a day maybe. I eat a lot of nuts and peanut butter, I can not eat any bread or breaded stuff I get really sick. I'm down 165 pounds since my surgery July 2006. Hug's Jeannie

You are at a plateau and there will be many more to come. The name of the game is to #1 find a local support group!!!!! #2 No more carbonated drinks They are not doing anything for you #3 Eat as much protein as you can and always think before you stick something in your mouth How good is this for me? I just moved to Ga from Co. And my surgeon seems to be very diffrent from alot of the things I have read here. Our goal is to have 75+ grams of protein a day. I have found that I eat lots of chicken, fish, and steak! I only have one protein drink a day and thats only because im addicted lol I add gnc Carmel chocolate to my coffee in the morning. I figure Im drinking coffee anyway so why not add a little value to it. Tastes like a latte. All meals should be 75% protein 15% vegetables 10%carbs(gotta feed the brain) I eat 6 times a day I should never never feel hungry. When I eat its because I have to not because I want to. I am eating to live not living to eat. If you want something have just a small amount of it and dont feel guilty. only a few times a week. #4 watch your sodium its amazing how it makes a difference. #5 make no excuse for exercise. do it first thing in the morning so its done. even 15 min is better than none. Take this honeymoon time and use it to your most benefits. I am 15 mo po and its harder know than before to stick to the above rules of the tool So I mostly typed them to remind myself lol Dont give up. most of the time when you are not losing weight you have lost inches. have you kept up with inches. Even know I am not losing anymore but I still lose inches. Always Always before you put something in your mouth remember that every vitamin, calorie, protein etc has so much more value know. Your body needs those nutrients to survive. It it has no nutrients than how can your body survive on it. Sometimes if you are eating alot of soups and salads that have no value you may actually be starving your body and its holding on to fat because it needs all energy just to function. Most of all dont give up. This tool will work it your work with it! You will amazed when people see you in 6 months and call you "tiny" I promise you will succeed this lifestyle is not like all the other diets you have done. As long as you stick to the rules of the tool. Please feel free to email me if you ever want to talk Leann 11/05 255/129 [email protected]
