Lap Band Surgeons in Cobb/Douglas Area

I am looking to having the Lap Band procedure done and was wanting any referrals anyone can give about surgeons in my area. I have an appointment to meet with Stephen Odom, but I am not finding alot of information on him. Any help would be welcomed... Thank you!

I hear that Dr. Odom is pretty good. He is the only one that i know of in the area. I had mine done at Atlanta medical center. WIth Dr. Hixon, i really liked him. Good luck. Tammy

I used Dr. Macik. He's at Northside, but well worth the drive. Emory Dunwoody is a wonderful hospital. They do a lot of lapbands there. I would suggest you find a doctor that has done a lot of lap bands. Some are just starting to do them and they may be too aggressive or not aggressive enough with fills. Dr. Macik really knows what he's doing. Several of us on the lapband board have used him.

Dr. Christopher Hart, Atlanta Bariatrics, did my RNY May 05 I am down 175 pounds and feel like a totally new person.(a good thing) smile.He will do lab also.He and his staff are the best in this area.They use Emory Shallowford Hospital which is a bariatric hospital.If you haven't totally made your decision call these folks and talk.
