Hello, I am 9 months out and my hair is still thinning out. I can see my scalp and I am scared that before long I will be bald headed. While I am loosing weight, I fear my hair loss will continue until there is nothing there. I wear wigs and hair wraps but I feel less than a woman because I hardly have any hair left. I am so stressed. My hair has always been long and my crown and glory and to loose it makes it unbearable. I have tried aphoghee, protein shampoos, Dr. Miracle Temple, nape and scalp oils, all kinds of hair products including rogaine. I am drinking protein shakes and eating more food. I am up to 2-3 times a day with 1 snack (sometimes) a day. Does anyone have any advice. Its been 9 months since I have had my surgery. All responses will be appreciated. Has anyone experienced this or is experiencing this problem?

Hi Sonya, How much protien are you getting in each day? I have not lost any and I'm doing about 90 to 100 grams of protien. If this keeps up call the Doctor and see what they have to say. You might need to consult with a demotolgest! Hug's Jeannie

Sonya, I know what you are going throughmy hair stasrted falling out at about 6 months out up to a year out. I thought I would never get it back the way it was. I uped my protein and it still continued. I was told by my Dr. that your body is adjusting to so much stuff and readusting. It should stop eventually I now have a great hair of head again. Even my hairdresser has noticed the difference. Good Luck..Beth

My hair fell out too. It lasted about 3-4 months and I was a nervous wreck but I didn't go bald. Just know that a lot of us go thru this and no one has gone bald. It will get better. Hang in there!

I was a weird one... mine didn't start coming out much until I was a bout a year out... And never in clumps like some experience.... be rest assured that it will come back.... Maybe a different texture, but it will come back. Mine comes in curly up underneath... and still straight as a board on top... But it did come back in. Yours will too.... Just one small thing to deal with that is worth every lost hair to have had this life saving surgery Hugs, Susan
