Just wondering.....
Has anyone used Dr. Champion? I have been very impressed by his office staff. They got an information package to me within a few days of calling. They were also very helpful with all the questions I had.
I'm not going to give up on getting this surgery. I will appeal when the insurance company denies it... and I know that they will. God will make a way where there seems to be none. Pray that He will provide a way for this.

Angela,
Dr Champion did not do my surgery, but I have had the opportunity to meet with him when I had to have emergency surgery (partially blocked bowel obstruction) this past April (he was the surgeon on call). When I first spoke with him, he was genuinely concerned over what was causing my pain...told me to go to Emory Dunwoody ER and that they would do the diagnostic tests needed to determine what was going on. While I was having to drink that nasty nasty stuff for the CT scan, he did come by and see me, and that really eased my fears and apprehension. When the results came in from the CT scan, he was called and told the diagnosis, and he said for me to be admitted. The next morning he came by to see me again, and told me that Dr Williams (my surgeon) would be in later on in the day to do the emergency surgery. If I had a choice between one of these two Drs to do my surgery or someone else, I would choose between Dr Williams or Dr Champion. They are both TOPS in my book. Hope that this info helps in your decision.
