Guest Speaker - Henry Co
Thank you, Jeannie (Dorothy) for posting the reminder earlier. I wanted to add to that. Don't forget that Dr. Fripp, a plastic surgeon in Henry County is coming to speak to us tomorrow (1/23). Our meetings are the 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm in the Foundation/Education Center at Henry Medical Center (1133 Eagles Landing Parkway, Stockbridge, GA). We would love for you to join us. Below is Dr. Fripp's bio:
Dr. Vikisha Fripp was born in Charleston, South Carolina but moved to Decatur, Georgia at age 7. She did a combined B.S/ M.D. program at Fisk University and Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. During her medical school career she received many honors and was inducted into the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Next she completed her General Surgery training at Howard University Hospital, graduating as 'Chief Resident of the Year'. She then ventured north to New York City to complete her Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training at Cornell University.
Dr. Fripp is fulfilling her dream to return to the Greater Atlanta area and practice her craft. Her interests within Plastic Surgery include body sculpting, cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery and cosmetic surgery of the face and eyes. She has affiliation with Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Rockdale Medical Center, Henry County Medical Center, and Southern Regional hospital as well the operative suites located on site at Advanced Aesthetics.
She is associated with the American College of Surgeons, Association of Women Surgeons, Atlanta Women's Medical Alliance, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., National Medical Association and the American Medical Association. She is chairman of the Board of Medical Advisors for Black Health Magazine.
Her personal interests include running, traveling, community service, world history, and politics. She believes Plastic Surgery affords the surgeon and patient the opportunity to sculpt individual creations. "I truly enjoy each patient", states Dr. Fripp.
Dr. Fripp is not currently board certified, nor is she yet a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons or the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Thanks again for all of your support and the start of this GROUP! This is something that has been needed for a long time here on the southside, I know that a lot of people goes through this with no support at all. I'm for one very greatful to have had the chance to meet everyone so far and all of those that I have not met yet. See you tonight!
