2007 WLS CELEBRATION CRUISE COMING UP!
Hey Fellow Cruisers!
We have 3 weeks until the cruise! Are you ready? Do you have your birth certificates and passports? Have you received your cruise documents? Have you checked in online to get your FUNPASS?
Please remember that you must be at the port by 3:00 pm in order to get onto the ship. You can check in as early as 11:30 (usually).
If you plan on staying overnight in Mobile on Wednesday, Feb 7th- a group will be going to Wentzells Oyster House for dinner. Yummy! (This invitation is also open to anyone in the area that wants to join us and not go on the cruise.)
Please keep my cell number in your cell phone in case you run into any problems. (205) 821-4144.
Also- speaking of.... When you get to the port of Mobile and enter into the terminal, please do not talk on your cell phone. Your phone can be on, but security goes haywire when people take photos or talk on the phone.
Our group is centrally located on the Empress Deck. I will have a list of our party and their cabins to give to everyone - however I am sure we will all see each other as we are checking in and getting our luggage situated on Thursday. I am still waiting for a meeting room so that we can meet and greet on that first day as well.
Please remember to bring hairdryers and traveling alarm clocks if you need them. The interior cabins can also be very dark at night if you need a nightlight.
Another word of advice given at the Q&A lunch was to bring small bills for tipping and when in Mexico so that you are not given pesos in change. Several $1s, $5s and $10s would help prevent this.
Ok- Enough rambling from me for now. Please let me know if you have any further questions. The fun is almost here! I'll talk to you soon!

I just sent you an e-mail. I'm so excited. You said birth certificate and passport...we can have either, right? Please tell me yes!
Also, as far as someone needing to reach us in case of emergency, is that possible? Someone told me that I should have cell service almost the whole trip. Our 4 year old will be staying with grandma.

Hey Stephanie,
You will not have to have a passport to cruise to Cozumel until Jan 2009 (can be changed). However, you will need a Certified copy of your birth certificate (with the embossed seal) and a photo i.d.
I had cell service with my Sprint phone for 90% of the trip when I went. May I recommend you calling your provider and adding the International calling package. It was no additional cost for me to add this and it reduced the calling rate considerably. It is much less than the $7-$10 that they charge you on the ship to call from your room. Also one thing that I found out with my service, It was 99 cents per minute to call, and roaming charges - so please find out if roaming charges will be seperate than your minute cost.
Counting Down!
