I just got off the phone with the suregon's office. They found something 2 whole weeks ago and didn't bother to let me know of even return my calls to them. My pulmonologist didn't use the actual words "medically cleared" in his three page letter to them so they need him to redo it. He says "NO". He stated in his letter his choice options about anesthesia, with his first option being spinal and last option being general (because of my asthma). He says he will not say medically cleared because as an obese person with asthma I am at a high risk for problems with anesthesia. DUH. Aren't we all obese and many with asthma? Just who does he think gets this kind of surgery. My asthma is completely under control. My only problem is with my surgical reaction to anesthesia. He has always been my doctor and has always just put me in the hospital the night before any surgery and given me something in an IV. I don't know why he isn't willing to do that this time.
I have an appointment to see him about this on the 22 of Jan and I am waiting for my PCP to call me so I can discuss this with her. She is friends with him so maybe so will have some pull. So once again I feel like I am on the long train going to nowhere.
Pat, I'm really sorry about what the Doctor said. I will keep you in my prayers. My Doctor in Alabama takes Med. Care from Ga. You can call them if you would like. I have a appt. on the 29th of this month for my 6 month follow up.

I want to thank both you ladies for your support. Asia, how are you coming on your surgery stuff? I noticed you haven't updated your profile. How is a friend supposed to kep up with you girl? LOL. Dorothy, Thank you girlfriend. I am going through so much with my dad right now I couldn't even think of switching doctors right now. I am going to try to keep on my PCP and the pulmonologist. I will talk with you soon. I caught a nasty cold on my way to MI so I am barely focusing on anything right now.
