Got results back from labs I had done last week all were great except Iron... Apparently normal is between 50-150? and mine is only 35... my hemoglobin is good at 13.5... so it looks like i'm going on iron... they said my b12 was great and I don't take supplements... oh well....

Judy looks like we have about the same blood results. My iron levels were 24mg/dL with normal being 35-100. My hemoglobin in 12.9g/dL with normal being 11.0-18.0. My B12. My B12 is 1510pg/mL with normal being 211-911. Who is your surgeon? How far out are you? I'm gonna work out this afternoon again. Man I love the gym if I knew if was this fun I'd joined along time ago. Sue

Dr. Sherman, James Sherman... I'm almost 5 months out 111 pounds down... sorry I couldn't meet you at Gym yesterday, what are they having you do for iron? Take a supplement or like me change from kid vitamins to reg vits with iron?

Judy, I am usually at the gym (at least this week) about 3:30. I take reg adult chewable vitamins right now. I am just a little of 6 months out and I have lost about 70 pounds. I am the type of person that will push and push and push myself. Just one of those things that you just have to do. Susan

Just be careful. I'm over 2 yrs post op and my iron got dangerously low. I had an 8 hour IV iron infusion on 11/1/06 and I stay on iron supplements. 2 docs have now recommended a hysterectomy too because my anemia is so bad.
