Three weeks from having lab band and down 40 pounds - few questions.

Have been doing well. Sometimes it appears I don't have the lap band. Most of the weight lost was water weight as I was swollen from funky Doctor's medication. Was on liquid diet 2 weeks before surgery and have started eating protein type foods. The only food I have had trouble with is hamburger. Haven't seen or heard from my Doc. as I am suspose to see him in a week and a half. Will 4 weeks after surgery be my first fill? What were you quys eating after placement of lapband? The other problem I have is that the placement of the medical port seems to close to skin surface. It is real tender and port makes skin poke little over 1/4 inch. When I loose more weight won't it be out any further. When I speak to nurses they tell me to ask Doctor when I see him. Anyway I am reminded of port when I pick up something fairly heavy as it pushes against port causing tempory disconfort. The local support group meets every 3rd Thursday so it would appear that I am out of touch. Any help would be appreciated.

Great On your weight loss! I'm sorry that I can not help with the lap band, but I had problems with all meats 4 weeks out. I'm now going into my 6 months and I still have to eat very very small bits and really chew well. Good Luck on you new journey, and BEST WISHES! Hug's Jeannie
