I like many people I know saw Gary Santavicca he has offices in conyers and atlanta...and did a wonderful job in my opinion. His job is really to find out the why behind your wanting the surgery and make sure if there are emotional issues they are addressed so you will be successful. He has seen thousands of WLS patients and I adored him. The appointment itself was fairly easy...lots of health questions...lots of questions about emotions...food....etc...standard 'tests'....but all in all there was nothing to it.

The main thing they are looking for is if You want to do harm to yourself. That is what I was told.+

A friend at work also used Santavica and RAVED about him. I have a similar question. I'm at the stage of getting my clearance letters and my employer has a psych. on staff who has agreed to do my eval. My question is, exactly what does her report need to say? Does anyone have copies of theirs to advise me? Thanks! Carla (hope to be banded sometime in Feb.!!!)

There is also David Rush, Riverdale (great, easygoing guy-cute too) and Sheila Cannon in PTC. They are making sure you have realistic expectations and will follow your surgeon's directions. This is not the time to spill your guts and say you will eat anything you want! LOL. Good Luck. Pat
