I was watching a segment on Buck Rogers and he said he had the mini gastric bypass. I haven't heard of a "mini" surgery. Does anyone have any information? Especially if any Atlanta Dr's do it.

Now we're talking! I have just been waiting for this wonderful breakthrough in bariatric surgery to get publicity! I had the MGB in 2004 and have lost 200 pounds. There is even a support group of MGB post-ops who meet to socialize periodically in Atlanta. You can go to CLOS.net for information and locations where the surgery is performed. ( I had mine in NC, but the closest center right now is in Florida.) I want to tell the world about all the advantages of this procedure, such as short surgery and recovery time, a better mortality rate, the aftercare and support of both the doctor and other MGB'ers, the fact that fewer complications occur, and, most of all, the fact that the MGB is reversible in case I made a big mistake! I read horror stories on here about complications, throwing up, hospitalizations, etc. and I am thankful for taking the route I did. I have never met any post-ops *****gretted their decision to go this route. I will be glad to answer any questions if you'd like to contact me. Sandy
