AMBULANCE!!!! I was just saying earlier in the day how great I was feeling. I have started taking a new liquid vitamin from GNC, started back working out and eating well. WELL!! I got off work a little late last night and went to the gym to workout. Spent about 40 minutes there and went home to get dinner started. I was home long enough to change clothes and cut up some veggies. I was putting them on skewers and next thing I remember was Nate calling my name and me on the floor. I had passed out. Nate called 911 and they came. My blood sugar and blood pressure all checked out, but when I would sit up or stand, I got dizzy. Well, we know what that is...I was dehydrated. They went ahead and took me to the ER, ran a bunch of tests like chest X-ray, head CT (because I guess I hit my head hard and I was having a headache). About 2am, the nurse came in and said that one of my tests (can't remember the name) came back high for possibility of a blood clot. They wheeled me back to CT for a scan of my chest. Finally at 430am, they came and said that was negative and I could go home. So, the diagnosis was dehydration and low potassium!! I am home for the rest of the week to relax and get plenty of water in. I try and drink as much as I can, but when it gets so busy at work, I forget to drink and then I don't drink at home either. I have got to do better...I don't want to spend another night in the ER. So, for all of you pre-ops...after surgery it is necessary to drink your water!!!!!! Have a good weekend.... Kim

Hi Kim, I really hope that you get to feeling better really soon. I really have to remind myself to drink all the water that I can. So here is the way I'm able to get all of my water in. I drink s/f tea, s/f kool-aide, flavored water (crystal light) and then I like eating ice chips. This really helps me! But my biggest problem is when I drink so much I can not eat all that I should, so I have to snack on cheese, nut's. Reall the only big meal that I have is breakfest and that is a small bowl of grits and 2 strips of bacon. So stay strong and I will keep my prayers for you. Hug's Jeannie

Thanks for this info. It's like a wakeup call for me. I am not so tuned to drinking my water like I should but today that will change. I don't want to pass out. Take care of yourself.

Yes, it's a lot of work. I guess as long as I have Crystal Light, it will be easier. I just wish I could fine a decaf tea that tastes good, or at least how to make it taste better. Then I would be drinking all the time!!! You are looking great!!!!! Kim

OMG Kim, I'm glad you are ok. I to suck in the drinking dept. I was never a big drinker before surgery (only drank with my meals) so it is also very hard for me to drink, drink, drink, and it is soooooooo hard when you are not used to it. I thought, maybe if I can start drinking a 20 oz. bottle at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I should be fine, but we'll see how that goes, cause I'm a real slacker. Take care of yourself girl!! Melissa
