My Insurance will not cover my Surgery.

A Company that has insurance that will pay for WLS. I work for a Medical Software Company and we have BCBS of Georgia PPO. They pay for it but my company group excluded this WLS. I am willing to find another job that will pay for this surgery. Anyone have any suggestion? Please help. I qualify base on Medical Necessity. Venessia

I have UHC Definity Choice Plus and i was told the same thing. I work for United HealthGroup. I was also told that the provider would need to send a predetermination to the Insurance company. So even though it is excluded there is a way around it. Have you submitted your letter yet?

Exclusions are pretty much iron clad. I'm sorry to hear they exclude it. Many BCBS plans will pay for it, but like in your situation they employer excludes it. BCBS is really good about covering it if you can find a job that doesn't exclude it. Don't give up, I know it's hard! Amy
