i need an adjustment but my tricare west wont pay for an adjustment (even though tricare south paid for the entire surgery, the port to be flipped back and to repair a hole poked in the tubing by the doctor!!!!) i am wondering if tricare south will pay for an adjustment? do any of yall have that insurance? also do you know any good lap band surgeons to suggest for the adjustment? i have had the band on my pouch for over a year and never had it adjusted due to all the problems (the port flipped and for a year there was hole in the tubing..by the time the doctor figured out there was hole and replace the tubing we moved to kansas ...gotta love the military....and now the insurance here wont approve for me to get an adjustment!!!! thanks for any input and listening. karen

I don't know if he accepts Tricare, but I use Dr. Macik. He's at Northside so it's not too far from Marietta. I highly recommend him.

Hey Karen I don't have your insurance but I have one great dr. Dennis Smith is the BEST WLS surgeon in these parts. Sorry for your trouble with your lapband. I hope all works out well for you with your move and getting your band fixed. Renae

Dear Karen, like the other responders, I'm not sure about the Tricare part, but my doctor, Dr. Hart is great. He's in the John's Creek area. It's not exactly "close" to Marietta, but not too too far, either.
