Good morning all, my partner and I are moving to Georgia in a month, and well frankly I am concerned. I had my conversion 8/19/05 in Pa.......I am ready for my plastics but we can not wait until I have them before we leave. I tried that but I wouldn't be leaving before April then and that will be too late. I am seeing that insurances in Georgia don't pay for WLS, is that ALL insurances or only if you work for the state? I, hopefully, will be working for a hospital since I am a lab tech............also, has anyone had their plastics? What are the odds that they will pay for my plastics since I already had my surgery??????????? All of this has me sooooooooooo very concerned and scared, sure didn't come this far to just stop now, but don't see any way out of our situation without leaving Pa.....any answers would be appreciated!!!!!

I moved from Delaware to GA last September. I went from having Aetna to having BCBS PPO of GA. In November of 2005 I was approved and had my 'tummy tuck'. Insurance paid 100% because it was an out patient surgery. I went to Dr. Bernadette Wang-Ashraf. In Suwanee GA - she also has a location in Atlanta. Thanks and good luck, Emily

Thanks, so many people on here are saying that as of Jan '07 most of their insurances will have weight loss riders...........can only hope that since I currently have BCBS that it will help if I get them again........they have been so good to me. Might try to get it done before I leave since I work in a hospital that writes off ANYTHING that the insurance doesn't pay as long as I have the surgery HERE, in this hospital. Thanks, Berta
