need to know????

high,i'm new at this as well,so i hope i type and press the right buttons,but i'm tring to find out if anyone in georgia has bcbs(PPO)and has been approved by bcbs?? any help would be greatful to all......

Hi Michelle, I had BCBS and got approved, but that was 2.5 yrs ago...I'm not sure how they are handling it these days... I'm trying to get them to approve my TT now...not having much success at the moment... I wish you the best!! Tami

Hi Michelle, Each individual plan is different on what they cover even if the plan is a BCBS plan you might have different coverage under your policy. What I'd recommend if you haven't already is calling them directly to find out if weight loss surgery is a covered benefit in your policy. Once you find that out then you can look for a surgeon to help with the surgery and insurance approval. If you have any questions along the way contact me. Good luck! Amy

amy,thank you so much for the info,i did call them and they said i had to me medically necessary,which i have 2 letters from 2 of my doctor's already.i will be trying to go to a class of dr.titus duncan,this mth.i hope i am making the right decision....thanks again...michelle..
