WOW! Congrat's to ME......

Well guy's I'm now down 116 pounds since my operation in July 2006. I can not believe it. I still have a long way to go. My journey has been hard so far but I'm really happy with the out come. Hugs Dorothy (Jeannie)

Dear Dorthy: I am planning to have the Lap-Band surgery and was wanting to know what it was like. Could you send me some information? I can read about it all day but it's best to talk to someone who has been through it. Thanks for your help. I understand a Dr. Ponce from Dalton, Ga. is the one to go to.

Hi Leah Welcome to the Georgia board. I was the one you spoke with earlier today on the phone. I don't think that Dorothy had the Lap Band, looks like she had the gastric bypass (RNY). There are several people who've had Dr. Ponce on the board here, so maybe someone will speak up and say hello. I know he also does surgery in Tennessee so you might be able to get some feedback there also. If you need anything give me a shout. Amy

Hi leah, like amy said I did not have the lap-band! Back in July I had the RNY and I have done really great. Then on the 17th of this month I had to have my gallbladder removed. But I'm really doing great now and things are only going to get better. Then this afternoon I went to the store and really got a good deal on chicken, then when I got home I was cutting up the chicken and almost cut my finger off, but I'm ok now, the doctor said that I will be ok. It was not as bad as I really thought it was. We are having a support meeting at henry medical center ed building tomorrow night at 6:30 I would like to see you there. Hug's jeannie (dorothy)
