Calling on Everyone In Georgia!

I'm going to post and ask that we become a more active BOARD, I have looked around in other states and the most active BOARDS that I see are the MAIN BOARD and ALABAMA. I know that we can make this BOARD active again, I'm new here and really would like to meet more of you. Even though many of us live far and near I know that we can at least talk on here. Since the OH updated a few weeks ago we can now make a friends list I really think that is great! This is a good way that we can keep intouch with our new friends. I'm no expert on some of the issues that some have but it is really nice to try and help with some words of incouragement. So lets see if we can post things that each of us would like to see. Even if you are down post anyway maybe someone can make you smile just a little for a moment. Dorothy (Jeannie)

Hello Dorothy! I agree with you! I remember when I first started coming to OH, the GA board was like a ghost town! Then we all came together and became a family...now it seems we are all living life, reaping the benfits of our surgery. I really miss all my friends here and am trying to make an effort to posting more. I hope that we get a chance to meet soon. Tonya

The Georgia board use to be VERY active. Unfortunately people end up moving on once they lose their weight. We are still here though, let's see if we can get anyone from the main board from Ga over here. We will just keep posting and hope others will join us again. Amy

Hi Dorothy (Jeannie): Reporting in...I'm just down the road from you in Conyers...I'm between 5 and 6 months out. I am also finding myself rarely on the Georgia Board and just peaking in at the Main Board....I am like all of the others that check out a post, but rarely post a reply....Now that the main board gives us a tally of those that view vs. post, it is obvious that there are more like me. I am trying to make a concerted effort to post if I view. -karen-

I am also in Conyers, Duncan's patient, surgery 3/11/2006. I am down 130 lbs. (110 since surgery.) I weigh 130 or so lbs. I am 5'1" large frame. size 10 (some 8's.) I guess I am at my goal weight. On 11/6/2006, had TT, BL, BA.

Ok, just like trying to be sure and cut back on carbs and eat more protein, I commit to trying to stop lurking and start TYPING! I DO come check things out, but I guess I've gotten a case of the lazies and to be very honest have been flustered that I had gained some weight back. However, I've gotten most of it back off and I'm going to try to do better. Thanks Dorothy, or Jeannie, or Dorothy Jeannie! LOL !

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but I went out of town. I went to some friends house for THANKSGIVING and cooked for them. I really had a nice time! I have no family, both of my parents are gone and my only sister is in prison. So I really enjoyed cooking for her and family. I hope that you had a great THANKSGIVING, Dorothy (Jeannie)
