Stricture
I came on this board a while ago stating that I was throwing up everything I ate constantly.
I am now 5 months form my surgery and eventually found that I had a STRICTURE. Apparently in some people the oesophagus can close up too much post op which stops food going down properly. A simple procedure sorted this out and I have been eating small amounts ever since.
I have now lost 105lbs but have hit a plateau for the last four weeks. I am still eating very little so I expect it is just my body adjusting to me starving it for three months.
I would suggest that anyone who goes through the same thing I did contact their surgeon immediately and don't leave it as long as I did.
My hair is now falling out but I am hoping that will sort itself out too.
Any tips anyone?
Jeanne

Jeanne,
Yeah those nasty strictures can happen at any point. Not fun, but thankfully a pretty quick fix for them. I'm glad that you are doing ok now. As for the hair, mine just fell out no matter what I did for it. Many people will try Biotin, you might try that, it's a vitamin. Eventually mine stopped falling out and has now grown back in, but it is thinner...
