Things we've really enjoyed - the Georgia Aquarium, Stone Mountain, Six Flags, White Water... we aren't much on the night life....old and broke if you know what I mean! LOL!
Hope you have a blast!

The earlier post gave excellent examples for daytime activities...As for the nightlife.....The Virginia-Highlands area in Midtown is a very good concentrated area for entertainment and restaurants. It is very pedestrian friendly because it is surrounded by long established neighborhoods..."Blind Willies" is a well known blues bar. Many national acts have performed there....It is small and cozy....Crescent Avenue area also has several night spots and restaurants. A little more low key is The Vinings area. Buckhead on the north end of Peachtree Street is known for a younger/faster crowd. It has received a reputation recently for attracting a higher crime element, however. I have not been there in years, so I have no real experience to offer. Welcome and have fun!

There is a ton of fun stuff to do in Atlanta. I would suggest going to little 5 points,
the aquarium
, for clubbing go to Buckhead - there are tons of clubs there.
For greating, try VI-HI (the Virginia Highlands). Don't forget to go to the mall of Georgia -
the BEST shopping there is. Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes
That is a lot of walking.
