do you know were I can find ?
dO you know were to find Therapeutic Exercise ~ SWIMMING POOL ~ I have been in search of a good place to exercise . I am extremely obes and I am needing to exercise. I have found that swimming is so much easier for me than walking. it does not hurt as bad. I was thinking of buying a pool, but I am unsure of the cost and don't know if I can afford it. It Is to hard for me to get in and out of a above ground pool, unless I was able to find one with some easy easy steps, which I dont think that is possible. I am really wanting to try, but It is very hard for me. I tried looking for therapy, but it cost to much for me on a weekly basis.
God bless, meghan
Gold's Gym in McDonough has a pool and offers water aerobics. There are SEVERAL people in this gym that use this type of exercise that are having the surgery or have had the surgery.
Just for your information - I am in the process of becoming one of the teachers for this class. I already teach there - but not yet certified in the water classes.
Good luck and God Bless

I know they offer water programs at Atlanta Medical Hospital's Health/Wellness Center...I just canNOT remember the name of it. You pay by the month which is really reasonable and they have exercise equipment designed for the obese...where no on goes EXCEPT obese...Oversize equipment...bicycles I believe. The water is open to everyone, but many wls patients go there Im told. Good luck...You're doing the right thing....moving around ! Good for you!
